Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." This playful mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature abilities: Naoe debuts a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
